KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party on Sunday announced additional protest programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

A meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) held at the party central office announced the program of the agitation against the dissolution of the HoR, which the party has been calling “unconstitutional and undemocratic”.

A central member of the party said that Sunday’s meeting decided to hold protests in all the 330 state assembly constituencies on January 9.

Likewise, the party has also decided to hold protests in all 753 local levels on January 16 and in all wards on January 21.

The Nepali Congress party has also instructed all its sister organizations, well-wishers, and the district working committees to carry out street protests programs against the dissolution of the HoR.

The party has already organized protests in all 165 constituencies of the country in the last week of December 2020.
