Prachanda-Nepal faction forms taskforce to decide future strategy



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) has formed a task force under the coordination of Madhav Kumar Nepal to work on the faction’s strategy.

The leaders said that the task force will decide on the various responsibilities within the party and work for party unity.

The meeting held at Parisdanda on Sunday decided to form the task force under leader Nepal’s chairmanship.

According to party sources, the Standing Committee meeting will be held again on Monday at 1 pm.

The Prachanda-Nepal faction has already announced a month-long agitation against the government and Prime Minister KP Oli’ which they have been calling an “unconstitutional” move to dissolve the House of Representatives.

Faction leaders said that the agenda would be discussed at Monday’s Standing Committee meeting.

The faction has decided to make the anti-government movement more systematic and strong.
