Maoist Center to hold national convention from Dec 26 to 28

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center is set to hold its national convention from December 26 to 28 at Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

A meeting of the party’s Standing Committee (SC) held at the party’s central office in Parisdanda, Koteshwor, Thursday decided to hold the national convention from December 26 to 28, said Maoist spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

He added that the SC meeting also decided to hold province convention in all provinces on December 11. Maoist Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will virtually inaugurate the conventions at 1 pm on December 11.

The SC meeting concluded that the party’s ward convention was held successfully and conventions in some areas that were postponed due to various reasons would be held by Friday.

The next meeting of the Standing Committee has been scheduled at 11 am Friday.
