NC to hold convention of 16 districts after General Convention

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to hold the convention of 16 districts after the General Convention.

A meeting of the Central Election Committee has decided to postpone all the conventions in the remaining districts till today.

Secretary of the Central Election Committee Jagannath Shrestha issued a statement on Thursday stating that the convention would be postponed in the remaining districts.

As of Wednesday, the convention has been completed in 61 districts.

Out of the seven, conventions have not been held in eight districts of Province 2.

Regional conventions have not even been held in Province 2.

State and regional conventions are scheduled for Friday.

District conventions have not been held in Kailali, Banke, Achham, Nawalparasi East, Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur, Chitwan and Sindhuli districts.
