RUPANDEHI: Out of 11 districts in Lumbini Province, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel-led faction has bagged presidential posts of nine districts and the Deuba group has won presidents in two districts.
The establishment side has won the posts of presidents in Rupandehi and Bardiya.
In Arghakhanchi, out of 26 representatives elected to the general convention, 26 are from Poudel group while only six are from Deuba group. Ram Krishna Khand was elected president in Rupandehi unopposed from Deuba group.
Influential leader loyal to Deuba Yuba Raj Giri and Vice President of Nepal Student Union Mukti Paudel could not make it to the general convention as representatives.
Poudel faction have won the presidential posts of Palpa, Gulmi, Kapilvastu, Arghakhanchi, Nawalparasi West, Pyuthan, Rolpa, Dang, and Rukum.
Deuba group has won presidential posts only in Rupandehi and Bardiya.
