Nine hikers including three foreigners rescued



GALESHWOR: Nine hikers including three Spanish nationals who were stranded after not knowing the route to go to Mustang from Hidden Valley of Myagdi were rescued by the police. Mustang Police rescued them via helicopter and took them to Jomsom.

District Police Office Mustang informed that the hikers were unable to trace the route to Mustang due to snowstorm. Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Dani said three Spanish and six Nepali guides were found stranded, so they were airlifted to Jomsom Airport.

The chopper belonging to Fishtail Airs lifted them to safety. Among them, three Spanish and a Nepali were sent to Kathmandu on Monday.

Currently, the high altitudes in Myagdi and Mustang have witnessed chilling cold with snowfall.
