BSP on verge of split, holding separate CC meetings today

Divided over federalism, secularism

KATHMANDU: Bibeksheel Sajha Party (BSP) Chairman Rabindra Mishra and Central Committee (CC) Coordinator of the party Milan Pandey are holding separate CC meetings of the party today.

Coordinator Pandey called a CC meeting today saying that  Party Chairman Mishra called a separate meeting on the same day.

Pandey has called a CC meeting stating that the party should not be put in a state of indecision for the reason that party chairman Mishra changed a course of ideology.

Earlier, the party had decided to call a CC meeting in a mutual understanding between the party chairman and the CC coordinator as per the Section 20 (10) of the party statute.

Internal party dispute has surfaced after party chairman Mishra floated a proposal for holding referendum on issues of federalism and secularism.
