Nepal-Khanal faction given July 4 deadline to withdraw signatures proposing Deuba as PM

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has instructed the leaders of the Nepal-Khanal faction to withdraw their signatures signed proposing Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba within two days.

A Central Committee (CC) meeting held at Baluwatar today directed them to withdraw their signatures by July 4.

UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel had floated a proposal in the CC meeting proposing that the signatures signed proposing NC President Deuba as the Prime Minister should be withdrawn within two days.

The CC meeting has endorsed the proposal.

As many as 23 lawmakers of Nepal-Khanal faction had signed in support of Deuba proposing him as the Prime Minister of Nepal.
