COVID-19: 166 children below 9 years test COVID-19 positive

KATHMANDU: The wide-spreading coronavirus pandemic is turning more fatal with 457 children testing coronavirus positive in past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of 7,211 people infected in past 24 hours, 166 are below nine years old.

457 children below 19 tested coronavirus positive in a day.

The Ministry informed that the highest number of infected people belong to age-group 30-39 years. There have been 1,809 cases in this age group.

Similarly, 1,767 from 20 to 29 and 1,220 from 40 to 49 have also tested positive in past 24 hours.

There have been 943 cases from 50 to 59 and 485 from 60 to 69 age group.

Among the senior citizens, 188 from 70 to 79, and 63 from 80 to 89 age group tested positive.

13 people from 90 and above came with coronavirus positive result.

The age of 26 people who tested coronavirus positive has not been disclosed today.
