CPN-UML summons emergency Standing Committee meeting



KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN-UML has called an emergency meeting of the Standing Committee Sunday.

Party leaders are on their way to attend the meeting which will be held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

According to a UML source, an emergency meeting was called after discussions between Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli and General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel.

The meeting is considered crucial at a time when the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Shankar Pokharel has resigned.
