Former queen Komal’s health condition stable

KATHMANDU: The health condition of former queen Komal Shah, who is undergoing treatment at Norvic International Hospital after a coronavirus infection, has not improved yet.

The hospital administration has informed that the health condition has not improved even after treatment with plasma therapy.

Somnath Bastola, the hospital’s head of corporate information, said she was still being treated in the ICU with high-flow oxygen.

The former queen is undergoing treatment under the leadership of personnel doctor Dr Kishor Rana.

However, Bastola said there had been no improvement.

He said that the health of former King Gyanendra Shah and former Princess Prerna Shah was normal.

Former royal couple Gyanendra-Komal and former princess Prerna are undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu after the coronavirus infection was confirmed.

The former royal couple had returned to Nepal on April 18 after attending the Kumbh Mela in India. The former royal family was diagnosed with coronavirus on April 20.

The condition of the Shah couple and their daughter, who was admitted to the hospital on April 24 for treatment, is said to be normal while the former king has been kept on oxygen support.
