Banke reports four more Covid-19 deaths



NEPALGUNJ: Four Covid-19 patients died in the past 24 hours in Banke. According to District Covid Crisis Management Center’s resource person Tej Oli, of the deceased, three are from Banke itself while one is from Bardiya.

A 20-year-old male of Baijanath rural municipality-2 in the district who was hospitalized on April 27 breathed his last amidst the treatment at the Banke Hospital.

Similarly, a 27-year-old male from Rajapur municipality-2, Bardiya died at the Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur.

He was hospitalized on April 30. A 40-year-old woman of Kohalpur municipality-11 was admitted to the Bheri Hospital on April 30 and she succumbed to the virus at around 8:00 pm Saturday.

A 55-year-old male from Khajura rural municipality-3 who was found contracting the virus through an antigen test on April 30 died last night amidst the medical support at the local isolation center.

With this, 123 people of Banke which has been the hotspot for the second wave of coronavirus have so far died from the virus while 119 deceased are from outside the district who were brought here for treatment, it is said.
