12th census from June 8; green card holders not to be counted

KATHMANDU: The government is all set for the 12th National Population Census which is held every 10 years in the county.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) will begin the census from the beginning of 2078 BS and has planned to accomplish the major task by June 8 to 22.

Dhundi Raj Lamichhane, the director of CBS, said, The National Population Census, 2021 will begin from June 8 with a slogan, “My Census, My Participation.”

The 12th the National Population Census will begin across the country simultaneously from June 8 to 22l, said Lamichhane.

According to Lamichhane, Nepali people who have already acquired green cards in foreign countries will not be counted in the national census.
