We are not against MCC Compact: Madhav Nepal



BIRATNAGAR: Chairman of Prachanda-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that his party is not against the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact.

Speaking at a press conference in Biratnagar Tuesday, he clarified that his party is not against agreements or compacts, including the MCC that are not against the national interest.

“We keep the best interest of Nepal in our decisions. We are not against any compact or agreements which are in the best interest of Nepal,” he told reporters.

Responding to the reporters’ queries related with the no-confidence motion against the government, Chairman Nepal said that his party would support the no-confidence motion against the government no matter which party tables it.
