KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has stated that the party is holding talks with Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) for a joint movement against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

In a press meet organized by the faction, Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha, who is also the coordinator of the Central Struggle Committee against the dissolution of HoR, told the reporters that his party is holding talks with the major political parties to fight against ‘regression’.

“All the political forces that have been protesting against PM Oli’s unconstitutional move are approached for joint movement, and we have been discussing with NC and JSP on intensifying and unifying the protest against the regressive act of the government,” Spokesperson Shrestha told the media people.

Shrestha lauded the role played by the civil society leaders, journalists, and intellectuals in the fight against ‘regression’.
