NEPSE index rises by 65 points on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: The stock market saw a rise of more than 65 points on the third trading day of the week on Tuesday.

According to the NEPSE index details, the NEPSE index has risen by 65.40 points to 2,407.73 points today. NEPSE index measures the share turnover of most of the companies traded on the Nepal Stock Exchange.

The sensitive index, which measures the trading activity of Class ‘A’ companies, also rose by more than 14 points.

Tuesday saw an increase in all transactions of all sub-indices except the hotels. Today’s transaction amount has also exceeded Rs 8 billion.

According to NEPSE, a total of 1, 49,71, 233 shares have been bought and sold from 73,361 transactions today the transaction amount has also crossed Rs. 8.42 billion.

Among the sub-indices earning most on the day insurance sub- index and microfinance investors came at the lead. In other words, the insurance sub-index and microfinance investors earned the most on Tuesday.

The non-insurance sub-index grew by more than five points, while microfinance grew by more than 3.8 percent.

The hotel sub-index, however, saw its index decline by two percent.
