Deuba-Sitaula alliance defeated in Morang; Limbu elected NC district president



MORANG: Dig Bahadur Limbu of the dissident faction of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected as the president of Nepali Congress Morang district.

Limbu defeated Dilip Sher Gachchhadar, who is considered close to party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice President Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar.

Limbu is considered close to NC central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala.

Limbu got 1,906 votes while Gachchhadar got 1,422 votes.
