Bharatpur’s Devi Gyawali gets the highest number of votes in UML CC



CHITWAN: Devi Gyawali of Bharatpur has got the highest number of votes in the election for the central committee (CC) under the CPN-UML’s 10th National Congress held for the 84 members of the party.

He got a total of 1,877 votes.

Gyawali had gained popularity since the time when he announced his candidacy for the Mayor of Bharatpur against Renu Dahal, daughter of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The coalition government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has recently removed him from the Chairman of the National Land Commission.

Meanwhile, Thakur Gaire got the second most popular votes and Kiran Gurung received the third-highest number of votes.
