Jamunah transit point under strict security surveillance



BANKE: The Jamunah transit point in Nepalgunj of Banke has been on high alert bearing in mind the probability of the entry of Afghanistan citizens via India.

Banke Chief District Officer Surya Khatri said the border security force along the Nepal-India border has been directed to be vigilant for the prevention of the possibility of entry of people from Afghanistan and other people under dubious circumstances.

According to him, there is a risk that Afghans could pass through the border by showing a fake Aadhar (official identity) card of India.

The security has been tightened along with the secondary transit points as well. Area Police Office Jamunah Chief Assistant Sub Inspector Meen Bahadur Bista said Indian vehicles are also under surveillance and being and checked before the entry.
