KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has labelled the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), as its main rival in national politics.

In the political report presented by Chairman KP Oli at the Legislative General Convention kicked off in the valley on Friday, the NC has been viewed as the main competitive force. The report also labelled NC as a bourgeois right-wing party.

Similarly, the UML has termed the CPN-Maoist Center as a group holding unstable politics led by Prachanda.

Oli’s report has regarded UML as the mainstream party of Nepali Communists.

The convention started at Sunrise Hall at Godavari in Lalitpur on Friday.

On the first day of the three-day convention, Chairman Oli’s political report was presented immediately after the inauguration.

General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Poudel are presenting the organizational and legislative amendment proposal respectively.
