DSP is stronger than JSP: Mahanta Thakur



JANAKPURDHAM: The chairman of newly formed Democratic Socialist Party (DSP) Nepal, Mahantha Thakur has claimed that his party has been stronger than Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) led by Upendra Yadav.

Talking to media persons at Janakpur Airport on Wednesday, Chairman Thakur said that DSP has been getting wide support and popularity in the country.

Senior leaders Rajendra Mahato and Sarat Singh Bhandari, along with Chairman Thakur, arrived in Janakpurdham on Wednesday after the Election Commission gave time to the people’s representatives and lawmakers to choose a new party after the party split.

Thakur led DSP got certificate as a party on August 25.

Three top leaders, including the party president, have come to Janakpurdham while the then elected representatives of the party and members of the province assembly have opted to remain in the Yadav led JSP.
