Nepal records 2,052 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 719 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,052 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,648 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 404 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 471 persons in Kathmandu, 146 in Lalitpur, and 102 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 719 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 20 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,030 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
