Prohibitory orders partially lifted in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office has lifted the ongoing prohibitory order in Kathmandu Valley four months after its enforcement.

A meeting of the Chief District Officers (CDO) of the Kathmandu Valley held on Wednesday made the decision to this effect.

However, the notice issued by Kathmandu CDO Kali Prasad Parajuli has urged all citizens to abide by the health safety protocols all the time.

Without using the term ‘prohibitory orders’, the notice has given continuity to most of the restrictions including the gathering in a place without taking consent of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee.

The administration has neither relaxed the observation of the festivals, nor has it granted permission to open schools and colleges physically despite the requests from various local levels to relax the provision.
