Relief to passengers, no need to wear face shield in domestic flights

KATHMANDU: Airlines operators have removed the mandatory provision of face shields for passengers formerly imposed two months after the relaxation of prohibitory orders in domestic flights.

However, the mandatory use of masks for health protection has remained the same.

According to sources, many passengers had been complaining about feeling uneasy due to the use of face shield during the flights.

The private airlines including Buddha Airlines, Yeti Airlines, and Shree Airlines, among many others have removed the provision of mandatory face shields for passengers from Wednesday.

Airlines companies had been requesting the Civil Aviation Authority to allow them to relax the provision of face-shield since last week. After getting the green signal from the Authority, the companies have decided to relax formerly mandatory provisions of face shield to be effective from today.
