Nepal sees 2,568 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 851 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,568 new cases of coronavirus while 2,020 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 1,981 were detected through RT-PCR method and 587 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 18 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 9,875 in the country.

In the meantime, Kathmandu valley has seen 851cases of coronavirus in past 24 hours. The Ministry updated that there have been 594 new cases of coronavirus in Kathmandu district whereas Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district witnessed 166 and 91 cases respectively.
