Khaijanpur village sealed off



KATHMANDU: Three members of a family have died of Corona Virus infection in Khaijanapur village of Triyuga municipality-2 in the district.

Raman Pokharel,43, died 15 days ago, Hem Raj Pokharel,38, a week later, and Devi Pokharel,36, died on Friday night, according to the ward chair Dhaman Singh Khatri.

As a result, the village has been sealed off since Saturday night after the infection spread. According to Ward Chair Khatri, the entire village has been sealed from Saturday night to July 8 after more than five dozen villagers were found infected with cough and cold, and fever.

According to Mohan Subedi, Chief of the Health Office in Udayapur, Corona Virus infection that was on the decline in the district until 10 days ago has started increasing again in the past week.

The RT-PCR and antigen testing of all the villagers has been started by mobilizing a team of health workers from this morning after the infection resurfaced in Khaijanpur.

After the spread of the infection, the area southeast of Khaijanpur has been sealed off up to Jogidaha and west to Bhulke, and north to Triyuga river bank.

Shops for daily necessities are allowed to open only from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning.
