Province 2 government preparing to ensure free power supply to media



JANAKPURDHAM: The Province 2 government has said it is preparing to ensure a free power supply to all media houses operated inside the Province.

Addressing a program organized today by the Nepal Press Union, Parsa in Birgunj today, Province Minister for Energy and Water Supplies Om Prakash Sharma informed about this.

He was of the opinion that economically strong media would help strengthen democracy and it contributed to preventing corruption.

According to him, the government is planning to equip media houses with free solar energy and if it has happened, it will be a huge economical support to media houses.

“The Province government is committed to the development of media workers and media houses.”
