KATHMANDU: The US Army has handed over four raft boats to the Nepali Army.

The United States has provided four rescue boats with outboard motors to the Nepali Army in its support amid a program held at the Army Headquarters.

According to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate, Major Michael P. White, Chief of the Office of Defense Corps at the US Embassy, ​​handed over the materials to Lieutenant General Ramnath Sharma (Dhungana), Assistant Director of the Nepal Army’s Disaster Management Directorate.

The Nepal Army believes that the boats will be very useful in rescue and relief operations during monsoon-induced disasters such as floods.
