Bibeksheel Sajha mourns Thapa’s demise



KATHMANDU: Bibeksheel Sajha Party has condoled the death of its founding coordinator Ujwal Thapa, who died at Medicity Hospital in Lalitpur at 4:25 pm Tuesday.

Thapa was undergoing treatment for coronavirus after being tested positive two weeks ago.

An emergency meeting of Bibeksheel Sajha Party Central Committee held today passed a condolence resolution expressing deep sorrow over the demise of former coordinator Thapa.

The meeting also called upon the entire leadership and members of the party to plant at least one tree on the 13th day ritual in memory of Thapa. Meanwhile, the party will hold discussions and debates on “Ujwal Thapa’s life and thoughts”.

The party will move forward by adhering to the values of culture, non-violence and loyalty embraced by Thapa, according to a statement released by the party Chairman Rabindra Mishra.
