KATHMANDU: A probe committee formed to investigate the incident of thrashing of health workers in Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, has submitted its report to Banke Chief District Officer (CDO) Shiva Ram Gelal Tuesday.

A 30-page report has been submitted four days after the incident took place.

A probe committee was formed last week under the leadership of Deputy CDO Shankar Bahadur Bista instructing it to submit its finding within three days.

The committee prepared the report after going through the CCTV footage of the hospital, questioning medical superintendent of the hospital, eyewitnesses, doctors, nurses and others bearing witness to the attack, said committee member Krishna Prasad Shrestha.

CDO Gelal said that further action would be taken after reading the report.

Man Bahadur Rawat, Bharat Rawat and Lokraj Rawat had manhandled doctors and nurses and vandalized the hospital after their kin Dilli Bahadur Rawat of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan Ward No 11 of Dang died while undergoing COVID-19 treatment at Bheri Hospital last Wednesday.

Police arrested the vandalizing party and filed case of attempted murder against them.
