JSP letter on party action registered at Election Commission

KATHMANDU: A letter from Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) informing the expulsion of four leaders from the party, including Chairman Mahanta Thakur and senior leader Rajendra Mahato, has been registered at the Election Commission Tuesday.

Chairman Upendra Yadav has sent a letter to the Election Commission (EC) informing the latter of the expulsion of four leaders from the party. A meeting of Executive Committee of JSP had decided to expel Thakur, Mahato, Sarbendra Nath Shukla and Laxman Lal Karn.

Chairman Yadav has requested to remove the names of the expelled leaders from the party registration book as per the party constitution and the party law. Necessary copy of decisions taken by the party has also been submitted.

Meanwhile, Thakur faction of the party has also decided to expel Chairman Yadav from the party hours after the latter’s decision to expel four leaders was public.
