Nepal records 5,763 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 2,495 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 5,763 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,706 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 57 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,932 persons in Kathmandu, 355 in Lalitpur, and 208 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 1,287 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 19 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,298.
