Kathmandu DAO directs PADT to arrange separate space for bodies of COVID-19 victims

KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has directed Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) to manage a separate cremation spaces for the dead bodies of coronavirus victims.

Writing a letter to PADT, Kathmandu administration has ordered it to arrange for a separate cremation spaces for the bodies of coronavirus victims as cremation at the common place has chances of transmitting virus to more people.

Similarly, the Administration has also decided to request Ministry of Health and Population to arrange for the operation of at least one 1000 bed isolation center with oxygen support in the valley.

The administration has directed the hospitals to manage beds for the patients in critical condition.

It has also decided to arrange for 10-day mandatory quarantine or holding center stay for the air passengers coming to Nepal.
