UML’s Nepal-Khanal faction expands parallel party structures in all districts of Gandaki Province



KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal faction of the ruling CPN-UML has declared expansion of parallel party structures in all nine districts of Gandaki Province.

At a program organized in Pokhara Thursday, leader of the disgruntled faction Surendra Pandey picked district chairman and secretary of party committees in seven districts in the presence of senior leader Nepal. They faction also announced establishment of district secretariats in all seven districts.

However, chairmen and secretaries of Lamjung and Nawalpur were not made public and party committees are yet to be formed in Manang and Mustang.

Dhan Raj Acharya is the chairman and Hom Bahadur Nepal is secretary of Kaski district. In Syangja, Ram Chandra Bhattarai is the chair and Bhup Raj Adhikari is secretary. Likewise, Balkrishna Subedi is chairman in Myagdi, Indra Lal Sapkota is chair and Lal Bahadur Thapa is secretary in Baglung, Bhakta Kunwar is chair and Padam Pani Sharma is secretary in Parbat.

Shankar Narayan Shrestha was picked chair and Shree Ram Karki as secretary for Tanahun and Yadav Basnet the chair and Sanu Maya Basnet the secretary for Gorkha.
