Nepal-Israel collaboration for agro development



KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that the progress achieved by Israel would be very useful for Nepal in the field of agriculture development. For this comprehensive collaboration is essential between the two countries.

In a meeting with Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder at his office on Thursday, Speaker Sapkota lauded cordial relations existing between Nepal and Israel since the past six decades and stressed on partnership in the field of agriculture, tourism and information technology. He also expressed the confidence that the Nepal-Israel Parliamentary Friendly Group led by MP Surendra Karki would be helpful in making relations between parliamentarians of the two countries dynamic and fruitful.

On the occasion, shedding light on various aspects of Israel-Nepal relations, Ambassador Goder said though small in terms of geography both the countries are rich in language, culture and traditions, and there were abundant possibilities for mutual collaboration.
