Dismissal of Chief Whip Gurung unacceptable: Spokesperson Shrestha

KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has come down heavily on  Oli-led government for sacking Dev Prasad Gurung as the chief whip of the party.

Talking to journalists following the NCP’s Secretariat meeting held at Singha Durbar on Monday, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the spokesperson of the faction, said the government’s decision is arbitrary, objectionable and that the party would not accept it.

“The decision of dismissing the party’s Chief Whip without discussing it in the parliamentary party is objectionable, arbitrary and unacceptable,” Spokesperson Shrestha said emerging from the meeting.
