Prachanda-Nepal faction summons Standing and Central Committee meeting



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has summoned meetings of the Standing Committee and Central Committee.

Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that a meeting of the faction’s Secretariat meeting held Monday morning decided to convene a meeting of the standing and central committee on Wednesday.

The meeting to be held at the faction’s office in Perisdanda will discuss the current political situation and the way forward, Shrestha said.

Shrestha said that the meeting also decided to request the Election Commission to resolve the dispute over the party’s legitimacy at the earliest.
