PM Oli to visit Pokhara today, lay foundation stone for Pradesh Academy



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving for Pokhara on Monday.

Oli will land in Pokhara in a flight of Yeti Airlines at 11:40 am and will remain busy inaugurating various programs in the Lake City throughout the day.

Prime Minister Oli’s Pokhara visit scheduled for Saturday had been canceled at the eleventh hour, citing lack of preparations.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Oli will lay a foundation stone for the building of Gandaki Pradesh Academy to be constructed at Nadipur in Pokhara 1.

He will also address the province-level cadres’ gathering, according to Kiran Gurung, the deputy in charge of Gandaki Pradesh of Oli faction.

Following the address, he will inspect the Pokhara Stadium and take stock of the preparations of the upcoming ninth national games. Once the job of stadium inspection is over, he will hold meetings with top leaders of Gandaki Pradesh and return to Kathmandu in the evening.

Oli who had been out for the election campaign following the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) is now-a-days visiting various districts to inaugurate projects after the Supreme Court reinstated the HoR.

On Sunday, Oli visited his home district Jhapa where he inaugurated some projects and laid a foundation stone for the construction of China-Nepal Friendship Industrial Park.
