SC Bar Association recommends advocates for amicus curiae

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) Bar Association has sent the names of senior advocates Khagendra Prasad Adhikari and Purnaman Shakya for amicus curiae.

Responding to a writ petition against the dissolution of Parliament, the apex court had sought two persons for amicus curiae.

Accordingly, the names of Adhikari and Shakya have been recommended. Shakya is also the newly elected chairman of the SC Bar Association. Earlier, the Nepal Bar Association had also recommended the names of three people.
