NCP Vice Chair Gautam meets with Prachanda at Khumaltar



KATHMANDU: Vice Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bamdev Gautam has reached Khumaltar to meet with Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda.

Gautam reached Khumaltar at 9 am is now holding talks with Prachanda, according to Prachanda’s secretariat.

The meeting reviewed the split of the party, it is learnt.

Following the split of the ruling NCP, Oli and Prachanda-Nepal factions have been holding mass meetings and gathering, casting blames at each other. However, Bamdev Gautam is still neutral and has not joined any factions so far.

Even though Gautam is said to have gone to Prachanda’s residence to take stock of the health condition of Sita Dahal, his meeting with Prachanda has been viewed meaningful at a time when the two factions have been politically divided.
