Nepal bans rapid test kits for COVID-19 diagnosis

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has banned the use of rapid test kits used for COVID-19 diagnosis.

The Ministry has barred the use of rapid test kits as questioned have been raised over the quality and accuracy of such kits.

Speaking at a regular press briefing organized by the Ministry of Tuesday, Health Expert to Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Dr. Khem Karki said that even the World Health Organization has not approved the use of such kits.
