67 foreign returnees in Budhanilkantha municipality



KATHMANDU: As many as 67 people have returned to Budhanilkantha municipality recently from various countries. Among them, 48 people have arrived in the last 14 days.

According to the data maintained by the municipality, Nepalis have come from Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Dubai, Bangladesh, Qatar, Bahrain, South Korea, India, Malaysia, USA, Oman, Japan, UK, Norway, the Philippines, Greece, and France.

Out of them, the largest numbers of people have come from Dubai (14), India (15), Australia (5), Qatar (5), Japan (4) respectively.

Uddab Kharel, the mayor at the municipality, said that they are staying in-home quarantine and their health conditions are normal.

Similarly, a 43-year old man living in Ward-8 of the municipality, who returned to Nepal on March 18 from Dubai, has been sent to the Teku-based Shukraraaj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital for tests.

He is currently in isolation.
