Two among six Nepalis infected with COVID-19 in UAE recover

KATHMANDU: Six Nepali migrant workers have been infected with the coronavirus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), of which two Nepalis have recovered after treatment.

According to Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi, 14 people including two Nepali migrant workers were diagnosed with the COVID-19 on March 9.

Similarly, on March 27, 72  including two Nepalis and on March 28,  63 including two other Nepalis  tested positive for the novel virus, Nepali Embassy quoted the Ministry of Health and Prevention of the UAE as saying.

Two among six Nepalis infected with the novel virus recovered after treatment on March 23.

The remaining four are undergoing treatment at an isolation ward, according to the Embassy.

The condition of the Nepalis undergoing treatment is normal, said Deputy Chief of Mission Rita Dhital.

Five people have died of coronavirus in the UAE with 611 infected as of Monday. A total of 61 people have recovered after treatment.
