Police rescue abducted NCP leader in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA: Police have safely rescued Alitaal Rural Municipality Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Gyanendra Joshi abducted by unidentified persons.

DSP Dadiram Neupane at District Police Office confirmed that Joshi has been rescued. He was rescued from Alitaal-3.

“We were informed that Joshi was abducted by some unknown men at around 1 pm today,” DSP Neupane said Khabarhub, “He was rescued within one hour of abduction.”

According to DSP Neupane, the kidnappers thrashed Joshi and he has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said the kidnappers are on the run, adding that they have launched a manhunt to nab them.
