Financial motive behind Bangladeshi national’s murder: Police

KATHMANDU: It has been revealed that Bangladeshi national Mohiuddin Ahmad was murdered over financial transaction-related disputes.

According to a press note issued by Metropolitan Police Range, Teku , Ahmad had taken Rs 403,000 (Bangladeshi Taka 300,000) from Dullamiya by promising him a job in Lebanon.

Dullamiya murdered Ahmad in a fit of rage after the latter failed to keep his promise.

Murder-accused Dullamiya was arrested from Nepal-India border Kankadvitta on Wednesday night and brought to Kathmandu.

Ahmad, 45, had been murdered at capital-based Hotel Grand Villa on January 21.
