NSU demands NEA to stop unannounced power cut

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Students Union (NSU), a student wing of the Nepali Congress, has demanded the Electricity Authority (NEA) stop unannounced load shedding.

NSU General Secretary Baldev Timilsina issued a statement demanding an immediate end to unannounced load shedding in the Valley and other places saying that students have been suffering due to a power cut by the power authority.

The union has drawn attention to the problem of supply even when the maximum demand (peak load) is less than last year.

Students taking online classes were affected when the supply was disrupted up to five times a day, the statement said.
