10th Pushpa Lal Memorial Badminton Tournament to begin on January 13-16



KATHMANDU: The 10th Pushpa Lal Memorial Badminton Tournament is set to take place in Lahan on January 13-16, 2021.

To be organized jointly by the Nepal Badminton Association (NBA) and Golbazaar Municipality, the competition has been categorized into men’s and women’s single and double, boy and girl student U-17 single and veterans double above 45 age groups.

Around 200 athletes from 47 districts that have been associated with the NBA and departmental Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club and Armed Police Force Club would take part in the tournament, it has been said.

Winners will receive Rs 20,000 each, first runner-up Rs 16,000 and second runner-up Rs 8,000.
Likewise, under men’s and women’s single and double and veterans double, winner will receive Rs 20,000 each, first runner-up Rs 10,000 and second runner-up Rs 5,000.

Under boy and girl students U-17, the winner will get Rs 15,000 each, first runner-up Rs 8,000 and second runner-up Rs 4,000.
