NC seeks govt assistance for treatment of leader Bishwokarma

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has urged the government to provide assistance for the treatment of its central member and federal parliamentarian Min Bishwokarma, who has been receiving treatment for a week in a hospital.

Lawmaker Bishwokarma was initially admitted to Bir Hospital on 25 October and later transferred to the Grande Hospital, Kathmandu, after he was infected with the coronavirus.

NC parliamentary party chief whip Balkrishna Khand informed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli about the health condition of leader Bishwokarma on Saturday and urged for necessary assistance from the government side in his treatment.

Leader Khand also requested Minister for Health and Population for the same. Infected with coronavirus, parliamentarian Bishwokarma has also got pneumonia.

He has been receiving treatment on a ventilator at Grande Hospital, Dhapashi after he suffered from respiratory problems.
