Six more die of COVID-19 in Morang



MORANG: Six persons died of COVID-19 at various hospitals in Morang district in the last 12 hours. Among them, four died at Nobel Teaching Hospital and one each at Birat Medical College, and Max International Hospital and Trauma Centre, Biratnagar.

A 66-year-old woman from Urlabari, Morang; a 75-year-old man from Birtamod, Jhapa; a 69-year-old woman from Sundar Haraicha-10, Morang died at Noble Hospital while a 43-year-old man from Itahari breathed his last on the way to the hospital, according to Hospital Manager Narayan Prasad Dahal.

Similarly, a 65-year-old man from Biratnagar-3 died at Birat Teaching Hospital. He had been receiving treatment for nine days, said isolation desk chief at the hospital, Sunil Dev.

General Manager at Max Trauma Centre Hem Narayan Mehta informed that a 42-year-old woman from Udayapur died at the center. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday.

With this, the number of people losing lives to COVID-19 has so far reached 192 in Province-1.
