Kathmandu Valley sees 1,357 COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,357 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

Among them are 788 .men and 569 women.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,113 persons in Kathmandu, 195 in Lalitpur, 49 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,508 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 has reached 170,743 with the fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

Altogether 9,279 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.

A total of 2,264 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 131,222 in the country.

The recovery rate stands at 76.9 percent. Nepal currently has 38,584 active cases.
